The Maryland Avenue Montessori Fund is dedicated to enriching the education of children attending Maryland Avenue Montessori School by supporting projects and programs that enhance the educational community and support the mission of the school.
Meet the Board
The MAM Fund Board is made up of current Maryland Ave parents. We work together to fundraise for additional programming that all students get to enjoy.
My husband, Patrick, and I have lived on the East Side since 2014. We are so grateful to have a school like MAM on our doorstep and love the community it provides for our family - both at school and in our neighborhood. I am an HR Leader professionally, and spend time gardening, biking and enjoying the outdoors in my free time.
Our son, Conrad, is a 2nd-grader in Ms Sommer's room.
MAM Dad of two primary students
Ellis, Ms Gina, K5. August, Ms Taylor, K3.
I am the proud parent of a K5 student in Ms. Alissa's class, and an MPS graduate myself. I am currently an IT consulting sales executive, and prior to that, I spent 9 years in the fundraising world, as a major gifts officer at the Milwaukee County Zoo, The Joffrey Ballet, and the Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, so I have a passion for raising money for great organizations like MPS and our beloved MAM school!
My son Sept Rudnitzki, is in Ms. Alissa's class, K5
East Side residents for many years, my husband, Eric, and I were excited to join the MAM community in Fall 2020, despite the chaos of the pandemic. I am a lawyer specializing in retirement plans, and enjoy the creativity and chaos of spending time with our kids. We look forward to many years to come at MAM. Elodie is in 3rd grade in Mr. Taylor's room, Emerson in K4 in Ms. Stephanie's, and Augie in K3 in Ms. Gina's.
I am a Project Manager for a Telecommunications Company. I also am the VP of a Women’s Organization that promotes Women and Children in the community. I enjoy being outdoors and on the water any chance I get.
We have 2 kids at MAM- Leo 2nd in Mr Taylor’s Class and Lucas in Ms Gina’s Class.

I’m a classically trained harpist and have performed around the globe. I love to bake and volunteer at MAM!

Matthew - Ms. Tanja, K5
I am thrilled to join the MAM Fund to give back to this wonderful school with such a strong community around it. By day I run my company, Bushyl, which makes small-batch bath, body and home goods. Our weekends are filled with exploring the city, visiting parks, and telling my kids they aren’t wearing warm enough clothes for the weather.
I started helping with the MAM Fund in late 2019 to plan Springfest 2020 which did not occur due to the pandemic. My son Nolan started at MAM in 4th grade when we moved to the East Side and previously attended MacDowell Montessori School. I love volunteering at the school as much as I can with my work schedule and particularly enjoy garden duty in the summer!

Our family moved from New York to the East Side ing 2020 and started at MAM in 2021. We've felt so welcomed here. I am an environmental lawyer -- I help cities develop policies to fight climate change. In my spare time I love to volunteer, knit, and explore Milwaukee with my Family

Hi! I moved to Milwaukee from NY in 2014 and to the East Side in 2016. We are so happy to live in this community. I am a portrait + lifestyle photographer, with a studio just a block from MAM. I love being outside as much as possible, especially by the lake. We have two kiddos, 4 + 6 years old. One is in K4 with Ms. Alissa, and the other in 1st with Ms. Diana.

Our family has loved living on the East Side for 13+ years, and joining the MAM community has been such a joy to add connection where it can be so easy to stay anonymous. We enjoy traveling to see family and new places, eating delicious food, and getting outside for walks and adventures.
